2026 Honda City – Variant-Wise Engine And Transmission Options

The 2026 City facelift is available with the following 3 powertrain options:

• 1.5L normal petrol-manual (6MT)
• 1.5L normal petrol-automatic (CVT)
• 1.5L petrol strong hybrid-automatic (e-CVT)

Note: Unlike a conventional CVT, an e-CVT does not use belts or pulleys. Instead of shifting physical gears with hardware, it blends the output of electric motors and the petrol engine through software and planetary gears.

The following table presents the variant-engine-transmission combinations of the Honda City 2026:

• The 2026 City SV base model is only available with the normal petrol-manual powertrain
• The City petrol-automatic is available in all variants except the base SV variant
• The City petrol-strong hybrid is only available in the top ZX Plus variant
