2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO Teased – Global Debut On January 5, 2026 | V3Cars
Mahindra have released the first official teaser of the XUV700 facelift, and along with it, they have also confirmed the SUV’s new name – Mahindra XUV 7XO. This will be the second Mahindra ICE model to adopt the brand’s updated “XO” naming structure after the XUV 3XO. The global debut of the XUV 7XO is scheduled for 5 January, 2026.
2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO Teased – Inspired By New XEV 9S
Mahindra’s teaser gives us an early look at some of the key visual changes coming to the SUV. Here’s what the brand has revealed so far:
- New LED DRLs reminiscent of the XEV 9S
- New connected LED taillamps with horizontal and vertical elements
- New front grille with updated vertical slats
- New deep red or burgundy body colour

These details confirm that Mahindra are giving the XUV 7XO a substantial mid-lifecycle styling revision while retaining the XUV700’s overall silhouette and body panels. Earlier spy shots had already minimal changes to the sheet metal.
2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO – Interior & Features
Although Mahindra haven’t previewed the cabin yet, the XUV 7XO is expected to get a more upmarket and tech-focused interior, similar to the recently launched XEV 9S. Likely addition include:
- New triple screen layout ((instrument cluster + infotainment + passenger display)
- New upholstery and trim finishes
- Massaging front seats
- Ventilated captain seats in 6-seater variants
- Updated infotainment system
- New premium sound system

The existing features such as the panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, powered driver’s seat with memory, dual-zone climate control, Alexa integration, and ADAS Level-2 functions are all expected to continue.
On the safety front, expect no major changes:
- 6–7 airbags
- Electronic stability control (ESC)
- 360-degree camera
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
- ISOFIX
- ADAS suite
- Electronic parking brake (EPB)

2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO – Powertrain Expected To Remain Unchanged
Mahindra are unlikely to make any engine or gearbox changes for the facelift. As a result, the XUV 7XO will continue with the current set of powertrains:

The diesel-automatic variants are expected to continue offering all-wheel drive (AWD) – a key differentiator in this segment.
Mahindra XUV 7XO — Expected Price & Rivals
Mahindra currently retail the XUV700 in the Rs. 13.66 lakh to Rs. 23.71 lakh ex-showroom price band. With the facelift and feature upgrades, pricing for the XUV 7XO is likely to be positioned slightly higher, potentially starting around Rs. 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
When launched, it will compete with the Tata Harrier and Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra Scorpio N.
