2026 Tata Punch Facelift Teased Ahead Of January 13 Launch | V3Cars
Tata Motors have released the first teaser for the upcoming Tata Punch 2026. First launched in October 2021, Tata Motors’ small SUV is set to receive a comprehensive styling update. Based on the teaser, we can confirm that the Punch facelift will offer an updated design inspired by the brand’s latest SUV lineup. Let’s take a look at what Tata Motors have revealed so far.
2026 Tata Punch Facelift Exterior Design Updates
The teaser video shows the Punch 2026 with a redesigned grille with horizontal slats, sleeker LED DRLs, and newly shaped LED headlamps inspired by the Punch EV. Tata Motors have also reworked the front bumper, which now features sharper lines and a more angular design.

Around the side, the Punch 2026 will offer fresh 6-spoke alloy wheels, while at the rear, the small SUV will now offer a connected headlamp, which should enhance its road presence.
2026 Tata Punch Facelift Interior And Feature Updates
Although Tata Motors are yet to reveal the interior of the Punch facelift, previous spy shots have given us a glimpse of what we could expect in terms of upgrades. Like all new Tata models, the Punch 2026 will offer a steering wheel with a backlit logo. We also expect the dashboard layout to get a few updates to accommodate a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
In terms of features, the Punch facelift could gain front seat ventilation and a 360-degree surround view camera in the top variant. In terms of safety, we expect the Punch 2026 to offer 6 airbags as standard. Considering Tata’s stellar safety record, we cannot rule out the introduction of safety features such as ADAS.
2026 Tata Punch Expected Powertrain
We expect the Tata Punch 2026 to retain the current set of powertrain options, which include a 1.2L normal petrol engine with the choice of a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmission and a 1.2L CNG bi-fuel option with the 5-speed manual.
The 1.2L normal petrol engine produces 88PS of power and 115Nm of torque, while the CNG option offers 74PS of power and 103Nm of torque.
Tata Punch 2026 Launch, Bookings And Delivery Timeline
So far, Tata have confirmed the Punch facelift will make its debut on January 13. We expect bookings to open shortly after and deliveries to commence by the first week of February.
When launched, the 2026 Punch will renew its rivalry with the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Ignis, Maruti Fronx, Nissan Magnite, and the Renault Kiger. Among other B1- and B2-SUVs.
