Renault Likely To Launch 3rd-Gen Duster In 2025 | V3Cars

Renault are likely to launch the 3rd-gen Duster in India in 2025. The carmaker has confirmed a range of new vehicles, including SUVs and EVs, with its alliance partner Nissan.

3rd-Gen Renault Duster Expected Details

While the India-spec Duster was built on the B0-platform, the 3rd-gen Duster will sit on the heavily-localised version of the CMF-B platform. The localised CMF-B platform will also underpin other SUVs from Renault and Nissan. We expect the 3rd-gen Duster to retain its rugged design with body cladding and accentuated wheel arches. In terms of dimensions, it is likely to measure well over 4.3 metres and also offer a class-leading wheelbase.

Renault are likely to offer the 3rd-gen Duster with both 5- and 7-seater options in the Indian market. Renault’s French compatriot Citroen are also working on a 7-seater version of the C3 hatchback and it is likely to be called the C3 Aircross. Furthermore, we expect the new Duster to come loaded with all the bells and whistles that we expect from a C-segment SUV. These features could include a panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree parking camera and electronically-adjustable driver seat.

3rd-Gen Duster

In terms of powertrain, we expect the next-gen Duster to come with petrol engine options. Renault could continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol engine and 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine that were on offer with the old Duster. Additionally, since Renault have been testing the Arkana hybrid on Indian roads, both carmakers could also consider strong hybrid powertrain options for their future products.

Renault have confirmed that Nissan will also offer a range of SUVs based on the shared CMF-B platform. Hence, we expect Nissan to launch a C-segment SUV based on the Duster. This SUV could replace the Kicks, which has been struggling to find any buyers in the country. Furthermore, Nissan have also confirmed a new compact MPV based on the CMF-A+ platform of the Renault Triber.
