The Innova Touring Sport is called the Venturer in Indonesia and wowed the audience at GIIAS with its sporty new body graphics and decals. The interesting fact is that the lavish patterns of the side decals are a tribute to the silhouettes of all the generation models of the Toyota Kijang till the current generation model of Innova.

Yet another major attraction from Toyota is the Sienta that looks more like a concept model. Its smooth flowing design and a very unusually styled bulbous face grabs attention, and its highlight is its large mesh grille. This flashy 3-row MPV is full of curves and chrome elements and flaunts 17-inch blade-style alloy wheels to complete its off-beat look.

    Toyota Alphard

Another wow highly luxurious MPV is the Alphard. It is more of a luxury hotel suite with abundant cabin space with matching comfort features. The MPV has an awesome visual appeal as well that bound to turn heads. With highly sophisticated styling with generous bling of chrome on the outside and everything plush and wonderful on the inside, the Alphard is truly an owner’s pride.

    Daihatsu Thor Grand Custom

The Thor is essentially a rebadged Toyota Tank with styling updates. The boxy MPV drew attention with massive full chrome grille, very low ride height and contrasting bright blue roof and alloys. This little MPV is not currently available in Indonesia, but at the auto event it proved that small things can also pack in a lot of punch.

    Wuling Confero

Wuling Motors is very new in Indonesia and showcased its theme ‘My Wuling My Home' at the 2017 GIIAS. Several variants of the Wulling Confero MPV were displayed with many personalization features. Although the Confero is very conventional looking unlike all the other models in this list, it is highly practical.

Mahesh is a fan of compact, quirky and underrated vehicles that punch above their weight. Multix, Nano, Strom R3 and Navi are his favorites.
