2026 Kia Syros Gets New Variants; Entry-Level Diesel-Automatic Now Cheaper By Rs. 2.48 Lakh | V3Cars

Kia India have updated the 2026 Syros with a revised variant strategy, introducing new trims and making some of its powertrain options more accessible. With the 2026 update, Kia have focused on improving value by expanding feature availability and lowering the entry price for diesel-automatic and turbo petrol variants.

2026 Kia Syros Variants Updated; Diesel AT Cheaper By Rs 2.48L

2026 Syros Diesel-Automatic Now More Affordable

One of the most significant changes in the 2026 Syros lineup is the improved accessibility of the diesel-automatic powertrain. Kia now offer the diesel-automatic option from the HTK Plus variant onwards, with prices starting at Rs. 12.73 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the entry point for a Syros diesel-automatic Rs. 2.48 lakh more affordable than before.

This move addresses a key gap in the previous lineup, where buyers had to opt for higher variants to get the convenience of an automatic gearbox with the diesel engine.

Turbo Petrol-Manual Now Cheaper

Kia have also reduced the entry price of the turbo petrol-manual variants. The base petrol-manual Syros now starts at Rs. 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs. 27,000 more affordable than earlier. This revision improves the Syros’ value proposition, especially for buyers looking for an entry-level turbo petrol SUV.

New Variants Added To Lineup

As part of the 2026 update, Kia have introduced the following new trims:

  • HTE
  • HTE(O)
  • HTK+(O)
  • HTX(O)

These additions expand the range of options available to buyers and help bridge gaps between existing variants.

  • New 17-inch alloy wheel design on higher variants
  • Additional colour options

With the MY26 update, Kia have taken a more value-focused approach by addressing key gaps in the Syros lineup.

The significantly lower entry price for the diesel-automatic variant is a notable improvement, as it opens up this powertrain to a wider audience. Similarly, the reduction in the base petrol price strengthens the Syros’ positioning in the competitive B2-segment.
