2026 MG Majestor: What To Expect?

The Majestor is essentially a more premium iteration of the Gloster, offering updated styling, additional features and a stronger focus on comfort and technology. It will be available in 3 broad variants:

• Sharp 4x2
• Savvy 4x2
• Savvy 4x4

Buyers will also get the option of 6- and 7-seater configurations, depending on the variant.

Design & Features

In terms of design, the Majestor retains the overall proportions of the Gloster but introduces a more upmarket look with elements like tri-beam LED headlamps, connected LED tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the SUV focuses on offering a premium cabin experience with features such as:

• 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
• Fully digital instrument cluster
• Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
• Panoramic sunroof
• 12-speaker JBL sound system
• Ventilated and massage front seats
• 64-colour ambient lighting

On the safety front, it comes equipped with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

Powertrain Details

The MG Majestor is powered by a 2L twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5PS of power and 478.5Nm of torque. The SUV also offers a 4WD option in higher variants, along with off-road-focused features such as multiple terrain modes and differential locks.

The Savvy 4x4 variant offers off-road hardware, including:

• 10 off-road modes
• Triple differential lock (front, centre and rear)
• 810mm water wading capability

Expected Price & Rivals

While official prices will be revealed on April 27, the Majestor is expected to be priced above the Gloster, which is currently priced between Rs. 38.33 lakh and Rs. 43.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on rivals like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Isuzu MU-X.
