Audi unveiled the A4 facelift back in 2019. It featured mild cosmetic updates, new engines and additional features. Design-wise, it gets a slightly updated front end with the most noticeable change in the headlamps and wider front grille lending the sedan a sportier look. The side and the rear profile remain largely unchanged.
Similarly, the cabin layout also remains largely similar. The most noticeable change is in the form of a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features on offer should include multiple airbags, LED matrix headlamps, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone AC, a panoramic sunroof and connected car tech.
Under the hood, the A4 facelift will be offered with a petrol engine only. It will get Q2’s 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 190PS of power and 320Nm of peak torque. Audi is not offering any hybrid powertrain in India as it does in the global markets.
Audi is offering a 4-year comprehensive service package if a customer pre-books the A4 facelift ahead of its launch next year. The A4 facelift is expected to be the first of many launches Audi plans to do in 2021 in order to repopulate its portfolio. The Audi cars that are expected to go on sale in India in 2021 include new Q3, new A5, Q5 facelift, Q7 facelift and the e-tron electric SUV.
Prices of the A4 facelift are expected to start around Rs 40 lakh. It will take on the likes of the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Jaguar XE and the upcoming Volvo S60, which will go on sale in March 2021.
