Mahindra have released a fresh teaser for the Vision SXT concept SUV, revealing design elements that suggest a highly capable and rugged off-roader. The teaser, which showcases prominent bonnet latches, external door hinges and a chunky front coil spring, reinforces speculation that the Vision SXT will be a preview to a 4x4 SUV in Mahindra’s future lineup.

Vision SXT: A Closer Look At The Rugged Design

The new teaser shifts perspective, offering a more detailed view of the Vision SXT’s front end. It showcases an upright fascia, clamshell bonnet lines, and flared wheel arches adorned with body cladding. The presence of chunky off-road tyres further solidifies the impression of genuine off-road capability.

These design cues, including exposed hinges for the bonnet and protruding indicators, hint at a utility or pickup-focused design, suggesting an evolution of the Global Pikup concept that was based on the Scorpio N and first showcased in South Africa in 2023. The overall muscular styling points towards a vehicle built for challenging terrains.

Built On The New Freedom_NU Platform

The Vision SXT will be built on Mahindra’s brand-new Freedom_NU platform. This monocoque platform is designed to support a range of powertrains, including internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and electric powertrains.

Mahindra are set to reveal full details of the Vision SXT, along with the other 3 concept SUVs (Vision S, Vision T, and Vision X), and the new Freedom_NU platform on August 15.
