Launched in 2010, the Audi R8 V10 completes 12 years of existence. Audi are now bidding goodbye to the naturally-aspirated 5.2L V10 engine with the launch of the limited-run R8 Coupe GT RWD (rear-wheel-drive). The new R8 GT RWD is limited to just 333 units globally and its deliveries will begin from 2023.

The 5.2L naturally-aspirated V10 engine in the R8 GT RWD produces 620PS of power and 565Nm of torque, which makes it identical to the R8 Quattro variant. It also makes the R8 GT RWD 50PS more powerful than the R8 V10 Performance RWD, which offers 570PS of power. Additionally, the R8 GT RWD also gets a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with quicker shift times thanks to revised gear ratios.

The new R8 GT RWD accelerates from standstill to 100kmph in 3.4 seconds and touches 200kmph in 10.1 seconds. Furthermore, it also gets a torque rear mode with 7 pre-defined modes. It offers controlled oversteer by analysing multiple information like wheel speed, steering angle, accelerator pedal position, and gear position.

The Audi R8 GT RWD also gets multiple design updates to distinguish it from the rest of the range. It gets black RS GT lettering along with gloss black emblems, front splitter, flics, side skirt covers, diffuser and a rear wing. It is worth noting that the addons have been tested in a wind tunnel and increase the aerodynamic efficiency as well.
