In this August 2022 Maruti Suzuki Cars Sales Analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Arena and Nexa for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Maruti cars’ sales improved and which ones declined.
August 2022 - Maruti Suzuki Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- Other than the abnormal YoY gains of the Celerio, the Ignis is the top performers, with about 180% rise
- Just 2 cars in Maruti’s portfolio witnessed a YoY drop in August 2022, with the S-Cross failing to find a single buyer in August 2022
- The Swift and XL6 were the biggest losers in August 2022, registering a drop of 9.7% and 8.7%, respectively
- The Baleno surpassed the figures of WagonR, the latter losing the top spot after a long streak
- The WagonR still remains a close contender for the top position and may take back the position in the coming months.

August 2022 - Maruti Suzuki Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- Among the top gainers are the Alto/K10 pair and Brezza with 59% and 57% MoM improvement. This is because both these cars received major updates over the past couple of months.
- Almost all other cars saw some decline in numbers ranging from a drop of 4% to upto 37%
- Among top MoM losers were the XL6 and the Swift, which were also the YoY losers in August 2022. The sales of these cars were down in August 2022 by 37% and 35%, respectively.
