BMW X5 SUV Facelift Launching Tomorrow | V3Cars

The BMW X5 facelift and X6 facelift made their global debut recently. BMW India are now all set to launch the X5 facelift tomorrow. Read on to know more about the India-bound X5 SUV facelift.

At the front, the X5 facelift comes with a revised kidney grille and tweaked headlight clusters. The LED headlights are now slimmer and boast a new arrow-shaped LED DRL pattern. The front bumper also gets a few revisions in the form of reprofiled air dams. Around the side, the X5 facelift gets a different design for the alloy wheels along with slim black side cladding. At the rear, it offers slimmer LED tail lights with a new LED pattern as well.

On the inside, the X5 facelift comes with BMW’s latest twin connected screen layout running on BMW’s latest OS. The curved panel incorporates a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment controls. The dashboard layout gets a revision and the climate control now resides within the iDrive system rather than as physical knobs. Wood trim is now standard on the X5 and all variants now get a crystal gear selector. 

In terms of features, the X5 facelift continues to offer a large panoramic sunroof, powered driver and co-driver seats, ambient lighting, gesture control, split-opening powered tailgate, adaptive air suspension and advanced driver assistance systems.

2023 BMW X5 Facelift Powertrain Details

As far as the Indian market is concerned, we expect BMW to offer the X5 with the same engine options – the xDrive40i and xDrive 30d – as before. However, both 3.0L turbo petrol and 3.0L turbo diesel engine will receive a 48V mild-hybrid setup, which not only increases performance but fuel efficiency as well.

The 3.0L turbo petrol puts out 375PS of power and 540Nm of torque, which is 30PS and 90Nm more than the outgoing version of the X5. Meanwhile, the X5 turbo diesel puts out 298PS and 670Nm of torque, which is an improvement of 30PS and 50Nm than before. BMW will continue to offer both engines with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW X5 facelift will continue to rival other premium SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, Lexus RX and Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
