On the inside, the Z4 continues to come with a driver-centric dashboard. Since it comes with the M Sport package as standard, it offers M Sport seats, M steering wheel and M Sport trims in and around the cabin. Its soft top roof takes 10 seconds to fold and unfold at speeds of up to 50kmph. While it comes packed with features, BMW also offer a host of optional features like adaptive cruise control, Harman/Kardon audio system, head-up display and parking assistant.

On the powertrain front, the Z4 facelift now comes in the M40i spec as standard. It packs a 3.0L inline-6 turbocharged petrol engine that produces 340PS of power and 500Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 4500rpm. The engine channels power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Despite being a rear-wheel-drive sports car, the Z4 can do 0-100kmph in 4.5 seconds.

The updated Z4 also offers 3 new colour options — Thunderlight, Skyscraper Grey and Portimao Blue — alongside the existing 4 colour options. Furthermore, the new Z4 comes with a standard interior trim whereas customers get the option to choose from 3 upholstery options — Leather Vernasca Black, Leather Vernasca Cognac and Leather Vernasca Magma Red.
