Upcoming Citroen C3 Electric Spied At Charging Station | V3Cars

Citroen are all set to launch the electric version of their entry-level hatchback, the C3, soon. The electric C3 was spied charging at an electric vehicle charging station in Chennai. The Citroen C3 EV is expected to be priced under Rs. 10 lakh and compete with the most affordable electric hatchback in India, the Tata Tiago EV.

The electric C3 was seen charging at Relux Charger Tindivanam, near Chennai. We already know that Citroen will name it eC3. The eC3 will look almost similar to the petrol C3, save for some badges here and there. The eC3 will likely have the same features as the standard C3.

Some key features of the C3 include:

  • 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Remote keyless entry
  • Voice commands
  • Standard safety features

According to some reports, the electric C3 will pack in a 30.2kWh battery pack. The electric motor in it is rumoured to generate 86PS of power and 143Nm of torque. These figures are marginally higher than the Tiago EV.

We expect Citroen to showcase the eC3 at the 2023 Auto Expo. The electric hatchback is expected go on sale soon after. Citroen will manufacture the SUV at their CK Birla facility, located in Thiruvallur near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The eC3 will likely cost between Rs. 8 lakh and Rs. 11 lakh.
