    Citroen C5 Aircross Pre-launch Bookings Open

    Citroen debuted the C5 Aircross in India on 1 February 2021. Now, the carmaker has started accepting the pre-launch bookings for the mid-size SUV for a token amount of Rs 50,000. In order to award the early movers, Citroen is also offering a complimentary 5 years/50,000 km maintenance package for those who will buy/book the car by April 6. 

     

    Citroen C5 Aircross

    Under the hood, the C5 Aircross will be offered with a diesel engine only. It gets a 2.0-litre unit making 177PS and 400Nm paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has a claimed fuel economy of 18.6kmpl. The C5 Aircross is not available with a 4WD option but the SUV is equipped with Grip Control. It offers five traction control modes: Standard, Snow, All Terrain, Sand and Traction control off. 

    Citroen will offer the C5 Aircross in two variants: Feel and Shine. Standard features on offer include auto headlamps with DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, engine start/stop, powered driver’s seat, modular rear seats (three individual rear seats which are individually reclinable and adjustable), push-button start, dual-zone AC, parking camera, ambient lighting, air purifier, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

    Safety features on offer include 6 airbags, blind-spot assist,  ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic parking brake, hill launch assist, hill descent control, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It also gets hands-free parking which means it can automatically and get in and out of a parking bay.

    Over the Feel variant, the Shine variant gets features like a powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof and LED headlamps. 

    Citroen is expected to launch the C5 Aircross in the coming few weeks. Prices are expected to range from Rs 28 lakh to Rs 32 lakh. It will take on likes of the Jeep Compass and the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan petrol and Skoda Kodiaq petrol.
