Citroen C5 Aircross Reaches Dealership Ahead Of March 2021 Launch | V3Cars

Citroen recently unveiled the India-spec C5 Aircross on the 1 February 2021 and it is expected to go on sale by March 2021. While the launch is still a few weeks away, the mid-size SUV has started reaching dealerships.

 

Citroen C5 Aircross

The C5 Aircross is Citroen’s first offering for the Indian market. It will be offered with a diesel engine only. It gets 2.0-litre engine making 177PS of power and 400Nm of peak torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has a claimed fuel economy of 18.6kmpl.

It will be offered in two variants: Feel and Shine. The base-spec Feel gets features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone AC, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, modular rear seats (three individual rear seats which are individually reclinable and adjustable), powered driver’s seat, tyre pressure monitoring system, auto-dimming IRVM, heated ORVMs, cruise control and puddle lamps. The additional features offered on the top-spec Shine variant include a powered tailgate, LED headlamps and a panoramic sunroof. 

Safety features on offer include 6 airbags, blind-spot assist,  ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic parking brake, hill launch assist, hill descent control, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It also gets hands-free parking which means it can automatically and get in and out of a parking bay.

Prices of the Citroen C5 Aircross are expected to start around Rs 30 lakh. It will take on likes of the Skoda Kodiaq petrol, upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan and higher variants of the Jeep Compass.
