Datsun Redi-GO Facelift Teaser Reveals Design; Variant-wise Features Leaked Online
Datsun has released two teaser images revealing the front and side profile of the upcoming refreshed Redi-GO hatchback. The 2020 Datsun Redi-GO facelift is likely to launch in the domestic car market post the lockdown period ends. Meanwhile, soon after the teaser images, the Redi-Go facelift’s brochures leaked online revealing the car’s variant-wise feature details.
As per the teaser images, the new refreshed 2020 Datsun Redi-GO hatchback comes with substantial exterior styling updates. These design updates include a fully revised front fascia including a new front grille and new headlights that flaunt sharper design than those on the outgoing model. Other styling elements updates on the front facade include vertical L-shaped LED DRLs, a newly designed bumper and a lower-mounted air dam.
When it comes to the side profile, the Redi-GO facelift shows off a set of very attractively designed new wheels. There are also new blacked-out roof rails and a ‘Datsun' logo above the indicators.
Datsun has not posted any teaser images of the rear facade of the Redi-GO, hence the updates on the rear of the hatchback are not revealed. However, even the rear end of the car is expected to get a good amount of styling updates as well.
The Datsun Redi-GO facelift is likely to get endowed with a number of updates on the inside as well. This would include a new instrument cluster, new premium seat upholstery and an updated touchscreen infotainment system for the higher variants among other styling and feature updates to offer a more upmarket look and feel.
Moreover, like all new and refreshed models, the Datsun Redi-GO will also focus on better safety. The refreshed hatchback will be offering the standard safety kit that’s mandated by the government. These safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed alert, seat belt alert, reverse parking sensors, pedestrian protection and few more.
The updated 2020 Datsun Redi-GO will be carrying forward the upgraded BS6 versions of the same petrol engines. The power figures of both the engines are also likely to be retained. The Redi-Go facelift thus will continue getting powered by the 0.8-litre petrol and 1.0-litre petrol engine options like the Renault Kwid hatchback. The Redi-Go facelift will pair the 0.8-litre engine with a 5-speed manual transmission for 4 variants, namely – D, A, T and T (O). The more powerful 1.0-litre unit is paired with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT option only on the top-end T (O) variant.
The updated Redi-Go will get an improved ground clearance of 187mm, up from 185mm in the current model. Hence it will continue to offer the best-in-class for its ground clearance.
