At the end of 2025, Hyundai officially entered the commercial mobility space with the launch of its dedicated taxi models – the Prime HB hatchback and Prime SD sedan. These cars are based on the Grand i10 Nios and Aura respectively. Hyundai recently announced prices of Rs. 6.0 lakh for the Prime HB and Rs. 6.90 lakh for the Prime SD (all prices ex-showroom).

However, things became confusing once the brochure came into the picture. As highlighted in the brochure screenshot, the Hyundai Prime HB is also listed at Rs. 6.40 lakh ex-showroom, leading to confusion among prospective buyers. So which price is correct – Rs. 6.0 lakh or Rs. 6.40 lakh? As it turns out, both are correct, depending on where you buy the car.
Hyundai have confirmed that the Prime HB’s ex-showroom price varies by state and city, making it one of the rare cases where a mass-market car has multiple official base prices within the same model year.
Hyundai have now clarified that the Prime HB is priced at Rs. 6.0 lakh (ex-showroom) in the following regions:
New Delhi, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.

For most other states and cities across India, the Prime HB carries a higher ex-showroom price of Rs. 6.40 lakh. This explains why Hyundai’s national brochure prominently displays the Rs. 6.40 lakh figure, even though select markets continue to get the lower Rs. 6.0 lakh pricing.
There is also one notable exception. In Imphal, Manipur, the Hyundai Prime HB is priced slightly higher still, at Rs. 6,42,500 (ex-showroom) – around Rs. 2,500 more than the Rs. 6.40 lakh price applicable in most other states. But in Moirang, Manipur, the Prime HB costs Rs. 6.40 lakh.

The pricing structure of the Hyundai Aura-based Prime SD sedan is far more straightforward when compared to the Prime HB hatchback. Across most Indian states and cities, Hyundai have maintained a uniform ex-showroom price of Rs. 6.90 lakh for the Prime SD, making it easier for taxi operators to evaluate costs without worrying about regional variations.
Unlike the Prime HB, there is no lower-price zone for the Prime SD. Buyers across Delhi, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh pay the same Rs. 6.90 lakh ex-showroom price as buyers in other states, making the sedan’s pricing structure simpler and more predictable.

That said, there is one exception to this nationwide pricing. In Imphal, Manipur, the Hyundai Prime SD is priced Rs. 2,500 higher than the standard figure, taking its ex-showroom price slightly above Rs. 6.90 lakh.
