#FirstSpot: Tata Nexon Gets AMT In Smart Plus, Pure, Pure S; Automatic Now Starts At 10 Lakh | V3Cars

As if the Nexon’s number of variants wasn’t long enough already, Tata added 5 more to the list. They have recently introduced lower Smart Plus AMT automatic along with Pure and Pure S for Nexon petrol buyers. The Nexon diesel buyers also now get AMT automatic in the lower Pure and Pure S variants.

While the AMT automatic typically costs Rs. 70,000 higher than the manual, in the case of the Smart Plus variant, the price gap is Rs. 80,000. This is most likely because the Smart Plus AMT gets a 6-speed transmission while the Smart Plus petrol-manual gets a 5-speed gearbox. Some of the higher diesel-AMT variants only cost Rs. 60,000 more than the comparable manual transmission.
