Along with the launch of the Tigor CNG-automatic powertrain, Tata also introduced the cruise control feature in the top-model of the Tigor petrol. So far, among Tigor’s rivals, the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze already offer this feature.

It’s worth noting that the cruise control feature is only available with the petrol engine of the Tigor. The Dzire and Aura CNG also offer cruise control only with their petrol engines. Considering the limited driving range and usual city-specific usage of the CNG cars, the Tigor, Dzire and Aura don’t offer cruise control with their CNG bi-fuel options.
With the Tigor XZ Plus, the features remain the same as before. The only change is the addition of cruise control.

In the case of the Tigor, the price gap between the petrol and CNG powertrains is constant at Rs. 95,000. Meanwhile, the price difference between the manual and AMT automatic transmission is Rs. 60,000 regardless of whether you choose the petrol-only option or the CNG bi-fuel. The incremental price for the AMT automatic transmission is a little higher than that of the Tiago. The AMT automatic variants of the Tiago cost Rs. 55,000 more than the manual. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki only charge an additional Rs. 50,000 for their AMT automatic transmission.

The price jump from the XZ to XZ Plus variant is worth Rs. 70,000 in just the ex-showroom terms. For this additional price, you get the following noteworthy features in the Tigor top model over the XZ variant:
In our estimation, the additional features offer more than enough perceived value over the XZ variant to justify upgrading to the top model. So, if you were considering the XZ variant, the decision to jump to Tigor XZ Plus is obvious. But only for Tigor petrol buyers. CNG buyers have to pay Rs. 95,000 more over petrol in the XZ Plus variant while getting fewer features. So, for CNG buyers, the XZ may be a better option; value wise.
