Hyundai Exter Rear Profile Unveiled Ahead Of July Launch | V3Cars

Hyundai have officially revealed the rear profile image of the Exter ahead of its launch in July. The Exter offers a tall-boy stance, giving it a butch SUV appeal. Read on to know more details about the 2023 Hyundai Exter.

Hyundai Exter Rear Profile Officially Revealed

Hyundai India tweeted a photo of the Exter’s rear end, highlighting its bold design and faux rear skid plate. The image also reveals the Exter SUV’s squared-off LED tail lights that incorporate an H-shaped LED pattern. The LED tail lights are joined by a black plastic trim featuring a mesh pattern with the Hyundai logo at the centre. The image also showcases the Exter’s variant badge on the right side of the tailgate. The bumper gets a prominent silver skid plate with red reflectors on either side. Finally, the image also showcases the Exter SUV’s large glass house, which hints at it being taller than even the Hyundai Venue.

At the front, the Exter offers a split LED headlight setup like other Hyundai SUVs. Like the rear, the front LED DRLs of the Exter also incorporate the H-pattern whereas the main headlight sits in a rectangular cluster lower down on the bumper. Around the side, the Exter offers machined alloy wheels, chunky roof rails and flared rear fenders.

2023 Hyundai Exter Variants And Features

Hyundai offer the Exter in 5 variants — EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The top-spec variant of the Exter is likely to offer features like a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlights, wireless phone charger, rear AC vents and front and rear seat armrests. Furthermore, the SX (O) Connect is likely to be the onlyvariant to offerconnected car technology features as standard.

2023 Hyundai Exter Variant-Wise Powertrain Details

Hyundai have confirmed the powertrain details of the new Exter small SUV. The Exter will offer a 1.2L normal petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Buyers seeking fuel efficiency and relatively lower running costs will also get the option of a 1.2L normal petrol-CNG powertrain option mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. At launch, the Exter will not offer a turbo petrol engine. However, Hyundai could offer the Exter with the Grand i10 Nios’ 1.0L turbo petrol engine at a later date.

2023 Hyundai Exter Launch Details

Hyundai Exter bookings are currently open and the launch is slated for July 10. The Hyundai Exter will go up against the likes of the Tata Punch, Citroen C3 and the non-turbo variants of the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
