Hyundai India have confirmed electric sunroof for the Exter, making it the first SUV in its class to offer this sought-after feature. Additionally, the Exter will offer a host of segment-first features. Read on to know more details about the upcoming Exter small SUV.

Ahead of its launch, Hyundai have confirmed a smart electric sunroof for the Exter SUV. Hyundai revealed that the users will get the option to use voice commands to open and close the sunroof. Voice commands like ‘open sunroof’ or ‘I want to see the sky’ can be used to open the sunroof. The Hyundai Exter could be the first SUV in its class to offer a sunroof since none of its rivals offer this feature at the moment. However, the arch rival of the Exter, the Tata Punch, could soon offer a sunroof with the launch of the CNG powertrain.

Hyundai offer the Exter in 5 variants — EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The top-spec variant of the Exter is likely to offer features like a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlights, wireless phone charger, rear AC vents and front and rear seat armrests. Furthermore, the SX (O) Connect could offer connected car technology features as standard.

Hyundai will launch the Exter small SUV on July 10, 2023. It will go up against the likes of the Tata Punch and Maruti Nexa Fronx. Based on the features that the Exter is likely to offer, its top variants could also compete with the normal petrol variants of the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
