Hyundai are now accepting bookings for the Ioniq 5 electric crossover. You can book the Ioniq 5 via the Hyundai signature dealerships or Hyundai India’s website with a token amount of Rs. 1.0 lakh.

Hyundai revealed the India-spec Ioniq 5 at the Gateway of India in Mumbai and announced the booking amount. Hyundai also revealed the specifications and features of the India-spec Ioniq 5.

Here’s a list of some of the most notable features of the Ioniq 5:

The India-spec Ioniq 5 comes with a 72.6kWh battery pack. It offers 217PS of power and 350Nm of torque along with an ARAI-certified range of 631km on a single charge. Hyundai are yet to reveal whether the India-bound Ioniq 5 is rear-wheel-drive only or four-wheel-drive. However, the power and torque outputs of the India-spec Ioniq 5 are similar to the Ioniq 5 rear-wheel-drive, which is on sale in the global markets.

Hyundai India are likely to launch the Ioniq 5 at the 2023 Auto Expo. The Ioniq 5 will go up against the likes of the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Mercedes-Benz EQB and BYD Atto 3. We expect Hyundai to price the Ioniq 5 at Rs. 50.0 lakh, in case of completely knocked down (CKD) operation. If Hyundai bring the Ioniq 5 as a completely built unit (CBU), we expect the Ioniq 5 to retail at Rs. 55.0 lakh ex-showroom.
