Isuzu is suggesting that an upgrade to BS6 could jack up the ex-showroom prices of the D-Max V-Cross and MU-X by Rs. 3.0 - 4.0 lakh. The D-Max Regular Cab and S-Cab will also go up by anywhere between Rs. 1.0 and 1.5 lakh. To help clear up the BS4 stock, the carmaker is also throwing in the 5-year maintenance and warranty package with the purchase of any V-Cross pickup or MU-X SUV. It includes free periodic maintenance of the vehicle for up to 5 years or 1,50,000km.
Similarly, for commercial use, the D-Max Regular Cab and S-Cab get the D-Serve/3-year maintenance and warranty package with the purchase. It’ll cover the maintenance of the pickup for up to 3 years or 1,00,000km, whichever comes first.
Should You Buy BS4 Isuzu D-Max or Isuzu MU-X?
While there aren’t any cash offers or discounts from the manufacturer’s side, you should still try and negotiate with the dealer to score some discounts. Isuzu is offering free maintenance of up to 1,00,000km with the D-Max S-Cab and Regular Cab. For private car buyers, the BS4 variants of the V-Cross and MU-X get 1,50,000km free maintenance with the purchase.
A point worth noting here is that Isuzu’s free maintenance for commercial vehicles is valid for 3 years and for private vehicles, it’s 5 years. So, if you cover a lot of distance and quickly rack up mileage on the odometer, then this is a great offer. You should definitely buy the BS4 V-Cross or MU-X with this offer as maintaining these expensive SUVs can cost a lot.
At the same time, you’re saving Rs. 3.0 - 4.0 lakh compared to the more expensive BS6 variants, which will launch in the coming months.
