In this January 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment sedans in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all B2-segment sedans for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
B2-Segment Sedans January 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- The Xcent/Aura pair was the top gainer, with 39% YoY growth in January 2023, followed by Tigor with a 5.22% growth
- The Dzire was the top selling sedan in the B2 segment with over 11,000 units dispatched in January 2023
- Dzire was the sole loser in the January 2023 B2-segment sedan sales YoY comparison, with a 24.39% decline in dispatches
- Amaze saw a YoY growth of 3.43% in January 2023 comparison analysis

B2-Segment Sedans January 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- The Tigor was the top loser, with a 15.34% drop in sales in January 2023 compared to December 2022
- The Dzire was the second biggest MoM loser, registering a 5.67% decline in sales in January compared to December
- Sales of the Xcent/Aura pair rose 11.5% in January compared to December 2022
- Amaze saw a MoM growth of 54% in January and was the top gainer in the segment
