In this January 2024 Kia cars sales analysis, we’ll look at the car sales of Kia for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Kia model’s sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Kia cars.
January 2024 - Kia Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

Top Gainers:
- Sonet: The Sonet model has seen a significant increase in sales. With a YoY change of 24.5%, it sold 2,269 more units in January 2024 compared to January 2023.

Top Losers:
- Carnival: The Carnival model has seen a drastic drop in sales, with a 100% decrease. It sold 1,003 units in January 2023, but no units were sold in January 2024.
- Seltos: The Seltos model also experienced a substantial decrease in sales, with a 38.96% drop. It sold 4,079 fewer units in January 2024 compared to January 2023.
- Carens: The Carens model saw a decrease in sales by 25.97%, selling 2,052 fewer units in January 2024 compared to January 2023.

Other Observations:
- The EV6 model did not have any sales in either January 2023 or January 2024.
- Despite the decrease in sales, the Seltos and Carens models still managed to secure the 2nd and 3rd ranks respectively in terms of sales in January 2024.
- The SUV segment seems to be more popular than the MPV segment, with three out of the five models being SUVs.
- The Sonet model, despite being in the B2 segment, outperformed the other models in the C1, C2, D1, and D2 segments in terms of sales.

Top Gainers:
- Sonet: The Sonet model has seen an extraordinary increase in sales. With a MoM change of 1,15,200%, it sold 11,520 more units in January 2024 compared to December 2023.
- Carens: The Carens model also saw a significant increase in sales, with a 128.17% rise. It sold 3,285 more units in January 2024 compared to December 2023.

Top Losers:
- EV6: The EV6 model has seen a complete drop in sales, with a 100% decrease. It sold 6 units in December 2023, but no units were sold in January 2024.
- Seltos: The Seltos model also experienced a substantial decrease in sales, with a 35.81% drop. It sold 3,566 fewer units in January 2024 compared to December 2023.

Other Observations:
- Despite the decrease in sales, the Seltos model still managed to secure the 2nd rank in terms of sales in January 2024.
- The SUV segment seems to be more popular than the MPV segment, with three out of the four models being SUVs.
- The Sonet model, despite being in the B2 segment, outperformed the other models in the C1, C2, and D1 segments in terms of sales.
