Jeep took the wraps off it’s new all-electric compact SUV during Stellantis’ Roadmap event. The yet-to-be-named SUV is, in fact, Jeep’s first all-electric vehicle. It follows the launch of the Renegade, Compass, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4Xe plug-in-hybrid models. The American SUV maker is expected to reveal more details about the SUV next year.

The electric SUV concept from Jeep gets a traditional seven-slat grille, albeit closed off. The slim headlight casing holds the DRLs above the main headlight. It also gets prominent body cladding and faux bash plates. The wheel arches get sharp creases and the large alloy wheels look at home with the body cladding. At the rear, the electric SUV gets squared-off LED tail lights and a faux skid plate.

Jeep are yet to reveal the cabin of the upcoming all-electric SUV. It will sit on the Citroen’s eCMP modular platform and will boast a strong battery pack. This being a Jeep model, it will also sport a 4-wheel-drive drivetrain with a focus on off-roading capabilities. Jeep will soon launch the Meridian and the Grand Cherokee in the Indian market. While the Meridian is already on sale in various global markets, the Indian market will be the second in the world where the Grand Cherokee will be assembled.
