Jeep India recently revised the prices of the Grand Cherokee premium family SUV. The Grand Cherokee was launched in November 2022 and it now costs Rs. 1 lakh more over its launch price.

The new Grand Cherokee now retails at Rs. 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 1 lakh more than the SUV’s launch price. Jeep offer the Grand Cherokee in a single, Limited (O) variant with 4-wheel-drive as standard. Read on to know the features and powertrain details of the Grand Cherokee SUV.

The new Grand Cherokee gets a sharper design over its predecessor with slimmer headlights and tail lights. The Grand Cherokee’s front end gets Jeep’s signature 7-slat grille and ‘Jeep’ logo. Squared-off wheel arches, body cladding and 20-inch, machine-cut alloy wheels give the Grand Cherokee a rugged appeal. At the rear, it gets slim LED tail lights and a rear windshield with chrome surrounds. Overall, the new Grand Cherokee looks fresh and offers a unique appeal over its German rivals.
The new Grand Cherokee offers class-leading tech with a 10.25-inch front co-passenger touchscreen display. Additionally, it also packs a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.0-inch head-up display and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. That’s 4 displays for the 1st row occupants alone, each measuring 10-inch or more. Other features of the Grand Cherokee include active noise cancellation, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, surround view camera, leather seats with ventilation, 9-speaker sound system, 8 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, terrain response modes and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Jeep India offer the Grand Cherokee with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. The same engine does duty on the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Rubicon. It produces 272PS of power and 400Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive as standard.

As we stated earlier, the Jeep Grand Cherokee goes up against other premium family SUVs in the segment, such as the BMW X5, Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Volvo XC90 and Land Rover Discovery. Thanks to local assembly and a smaller turbo petrol engine, the Grand Cherokee is currently the most affordable SUV in its class.
