Jeep India have revealed the safety features and other specifications of the 2022 Meridian 3-row SUV. The 2022 Jeep Meridian offers various safety features as well as multiple segment-first features as well. Jeep claim the Meridian has over 60 safety and security features.

Here are the safety features of the 2022 Jeep Meridian:

Hill hold assist
Hill descent control
Emergency parking brake
Active traction control
Vehicle stability management
Vehicle yaw control
Vehicle pitch control
Rollover mitigation
Hydraulic brake assist
Brake disc wiping
Auto hold
Auto-engage for electric parking brake when the engine turns off
Auto-engage for electric parking brake when driver’s door opens
360-degree parking camera

Apart from the active and passive safety features listed above, the 2022 Meridian gets 63% hot stamp and high strength steel. The ratio of construction is — 16% hot stamp, 22% advanced high strength steel and 25% high strength steel. We expect Global NCAP to soon test the Jeep Meridian to reveal its true safety potential.

The 2022 Jeep Meridian will come with a 2.0L turbo diesel engine. It produces 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1500rpm-4500rpm. While the 2.0L diesel automatic is only available with 4WD in the Compass, the Meridian also gets the option of the 9-speed automatic gearbox with front-wheel-drive. The Meridian will also get 2WD manual and 4WD automatic variants.
