Kia have commenced the production of their fourth product for India, the Carens. The first unit of the Carens rolled out of Kia’s manufacturing plant in Anantapur on January 31, 2022. They will export the Made-In-India Carens to over 80 countries.

Kia will launch the Carens by the end of this month. Pre-bookings of the SUV are already open for an amount of Rs. 25,000. You can book the Carens via Kia’s website or by visiting an official Kia dealership. Test drives will begin in some dealerships from February 1.
Kia claim that Carens will be one of the safest cars on Indian roads. An NCAP test could give us a better view of its safety. However, it is not clear if Kia will send the Carens for a crash test.
During our drive, we found the third row of Carens usable and provided enough space for 2 adult occupants. You can watch our full review of the Kia Carens below.
The Kia Carens will compete with other 6 and 7 seater cars in the market like Maruti Nexa XL6, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus and Toyota Innova Crysta. We expect the Kia Carens to be priced between Rs. 11.0 lakh to Rs. 17.0 lakh (ex-showroom).
