Kia India are all set to open bookings for their all-electric EV6 crossover, ahead of its launch later this year. Kia will reportedly open bookings for the EV6 on May 26. The Kia EV6 electric crossover will be sold via the CBU route in limited numbers. The Kia EV6 is likely to be followed by its Hyundai sibling, the Ioniq 5.

Kia unveiled the EV6 in global markets last year. It is the first Kia to sit on the brand’s e-GMP modular platform. The Kia EV6 boasts a crossover design with a hunkered-down front profile. Talking about its dimensions, the EV6 measures 4,680mm in length, 1,880mm in width, 1,550mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,900mm. In global markets, the Kia EV6 is available in three configurations. The base configuration gets a 58kWh battery pack and a single motor at the rear. The other two configurations use a 77.4kWh battery pack. These long range variants are capable of offering a range of up to 527km on a single charge. The Kia EV6 with the larger battery pack can be had in rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive versions. The former produces 229PS of power while the latter puts out 325PS.
