Kia EV9 Electric SUV Spotted Undisguised In Near-Production-Ready Form | V3Cars
Images of a Kia EV9 surfaced online showing the car testing on public roads. It suggests that Kia's full-size electric SUV is getting closer to its production-ready form. Kia may showcase the near-production-ready version of the EV9 this year at a global event.

Recently, a single unit of the Kia EV9 was spotted undisguised, giving us a closer look at what the production version of the electric SUV will look like. The vehicle was finished in the same blue colour that was featured on the concept, but with some noticeable differences in the production-ready bits.
Kia showcased their EV9 Concept at the Auto Expo 2023 in India last month, creating quite a stir among auto enthusiasts. The concept vehicle was a preview of the upcoming electric SUV from the brand, and it garnered a lot of attention with its futuristic styling and features.
The production-ready Kia EV9 features vertically stacked headlamps, LED DRLs, new ORVMs, mono-tone alloy wheels, and a rear bumper-mounted number plate holder. The signature tiger-nose grille, contrast-coloured skid plates, glossy black cladding, LED tail lights, and integrated spoiler have been carried over from the concept. The design elements are pretty-much in line with the EV9 concept we saw at the Auto Expo 2023.

The Kia EV9 uses a modified version of the E-GMP architecture and it’s likely to get a 77.4kWh battery pack at launch. The power output is not available right now, but Kia claim that a fast-charging option will enable the battery to be charged from 10-80 per cent in just 20 minutes. This is a significant development in the EV market, as fast-charging options can make electric vehicles more practical for long journeys.
As more details about the electric SUV surface in the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see how the market responds to the Kia EV9. It's clear that Kia are looking to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle segment, and the EV9 could be the vehicle to help them achieve this after witnessing strong demand for the EV6.
