2024 Kia Sonet Facelift Teased; ADAS Confirmed | V3Cars

Kia just posted a teaser of the upcoming Sonet 2024 facelift. In the teaser, we get 2 main bits of information. One, is that the car will get connected tail lamps. The second is more important for those who value safety as it confirms the presence of ADAS features in the Sonet.

While we have known for over a year that the Sonet 2024 would get advanced driver assistance system features as the Venue facelift got it in 2022. But, this is the first time we’re getting confirmation from the car maker.

The Venue already gets the following ADAS features:

  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (Car, Pedestrian & Cycle)
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Driver Attention Warning
  • Lane Following Assist
  • Auto High Beam
  • Leading Vehicle Departure Alert

2024 Sonet

These are either officially confirmed or pretty much confirmed for the 2024 Sonet facelift. If you pay close attention to the instrument cluster, you’ll notice the icons for lane follow assist and collision avoidance warning. The collision avoidance assist or auto emergency braking assist is also demonstrated in the teaser video. You can notice that the Sonet applies the brakes to avoid a crash while the driver was not fully attentive.

2024 Kia Sonet Facelift — Expected Launch Timeline

Kia will reveal the Sonet facelift on December 16, 2023. We expect Kia to open the bookings in a week or two after the reveal; just as they did with the Seltos. We can expect them to reveal the prices of the Sonet 2024 sometime in early January commence bookings within the next couple of weeks.
