Kia Sonet Completes 1 Year Since Launch - Anniversary Edition Launched | V3Cars

Kia just launched the anniversary edition of the Sonet to mark the 1-year anniversary of the Sonet. About 1 lakh customers brought a Kia Sonet home in the 1 year since the most affordable Kia SUV went on sale in September 2020. Kia sold 1,03,910 cars till September. This kind of sales performance easily earns Sonet a spot in the most successful car launches in India despite the pandemic soaring.

The Sonet was Kia’s third car in India after the Seltos and Carnival and the last Kia car to stay on track according to their launch plan. Kia had promised to bring a new car to India every 6 months; that’s 1 car every 6 months or so until the pandemic blew everything up.

With the Anniversary Edition, the Sonet diesel-automatic only carries an Rs. 80,000 premium over the diesel manual. Meanwhile, the Sonet turbo petrol automatic is Rs. 70,000 more expensive than the turbo petrol with the auto-clutch manual transmission. The price difference between petrol-manual and diesel-manual stands at just Rs. 30,000 while the same for the automatic transmission is slightly higher at Rs. 40,000.
