Mahindra First Choice Services (MFC Services), a part of the Indian auto giant Mahindra Group, has launched an initiative ‘A Date with your Car’. The initiative has been launched for the car owners as an opportunity to service their cars themselves. According to the company, the idea behind the initiative is to give customers a hands-on experience of their cars under the guidance of MFCS technicians and to empower them with the information they need when making car-servicing decisions in the future.

CEO of Mahindra First Choice Services, YVS Vijay Kumar said, “Being a car enthusiast is all about feeling a connection with your car. The aim behind this initiative is to encourage car owners to come and service their cars themselves under MFCS’s guidance. With our skilled technicians, genuine MFC spare parts and state-of-the-art equipment we are committed to delivering the best car service. This initiative is also an endeavor to educate and empower our customers and is yet another step in our mission to build trust and transparency in the highly fragmented and unorganized car service industry.”

The Mahindra car owners will have to book a prior appointment in order to avail the service at the service centre. The car owners can come to the workshop on the appointed day and time and service the car themselves. However, throughout the session, trained MFCS crew will be available for consultation and help customers fix their car. Other than this, the owners will also get access to all the tools and equipment needed for undertaking the service job (under MFCS guidance) at no labor cost charged.

Talking about the initiative, as most of the customers keep poking the mechanics during their car servicing procedure, it sometimes become so annoying for the mechanics, hence this initiative will help the curious car owners service their car themselves. This approach will also help the owners learn more about their cars without breaking them. And since it’s set to appeal a wide range of customers, the company will offer only regular and basic service work under the programme. However, the experts will also be available always to do it themselves if anything serious occurs.

Currently, Mahindra has presence in 24 states with over 340 workshops, and offers a variety of services. The interested car owners can visit their website www.mahindrafirstchoiceservices.com for more information.
