Mahindra Marazzo To Get A Diesel Automatic Soon | V3Cars

Mahindra has been working on the Marazzzo automatic for a long time now and it has been spotted testing on multiple occasions. Now, the carmaker has confirmed that the Marazzo will go on sale soon. Talking to a publication, a company spokesperson said,  “We keep upgrading our products from time to time and one can soon expect the Marazzo to be launched with an AutoShift transmission.”

Mahindra Marazzo

The Marazzo automatic will be equipped with a 6-speed AMT gearbox. It will be paired to a 123PS 1.5-litre diesel engine that is currently offered with a 6-speed manual transmission only. Mahindra offers the Marazzo manual in M2, M4+ and M6+ variants. So, expect Mahindra to offer the AMT gearbox as optional on all variants.

In terms of features, the Marazzo AMT will be identical to its manual counterpart. Features on offer include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, projector headlamps, fog lamps with cornering function, automatic AC, dedicated rear AC unit, remote keyless entry, and electric ORVMs. Safety features on offer include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all wheels, and a rear parking camera. Mahindra might also introduce electronic stability control and hill launch assist on the Marazzo AMT as it offers with the XUV300 AMT.

Mahindra offers the Marazzo in both 6-and 7-seater variants with prices ranging from Rs 12.03 lakh to Rs 14.12 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The AMT variants of the Marazzo are expected to attract a premium of around Rs 70,000 over the corresponding manual variants. It will continue to take on the likes of the Maruti XL6, Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta, all of which are offered with automatic transmission options.
