Mahindra have finally revealed the XUV400 electric SUV and some of its details like battery capacity, boot space and driving range. The most notable aspect is its length, which measures 4200m and is considerably longer than the XUV300 even though on the surface, it looks a lot like the XUV300.

The Mahindra XUV400 gets a 150PS electric motor, which produces 310Nm of torque. It gets its energy from the 39.5kWh battery pack. According to the initial estimated range, the XUV400 can cover 456km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 8.3 seconds and recharge to 80% from zero using a 50kW DC fast charger in 50 minutes.

The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV uses a heavily modified version of the frame, which already underpins the XUV300. The wheelbase of the XUV400 and the XUV300 is the same at 2600mm but the longer, 4200mm body, gives it a 378-litre boot space, which is considerably larger than the XUV300’s.

Besides the obvious features like sunroof, power windows, keyless entry and go and telematics, the XUV400 will also have the following notable features:
