We have recently learned that Mahindra have increased the prices of the Thar. The LXT 4WD variant with the 2.2L turbo diesel-automatic powertrain got the biggest price hike of Rs. 43,500. The Mahindra Thar 2026 prices now start from Rs. 10 lakh and go up to Rs. 17.62 lakh (ex-showroom).
The following table presents the old vs new price comparison and percentage change for each of the 2026 Thar variants:
- The Thar AXT 1.5L diesel-manual base model is still priced under Rs. 10 lakh
- The top LXT diesel-automatic variant with 4-wheel-drive gets the biggest price hike of Rs. 43,500
- The Thar petrol variants are now costlier by Rs. 30,500 to Rs. 41,500
