Mahindra XUV300 Petrol Now Available With An AMT | V3Cars

Mahindra has launched the XUV300 petrol with an AMT gearbox at a starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). It is offered in two variants only: W6 and W8(O), unlike the diesel-AMT, which can be had in three variants: W6, W8 and W8(O). Mahindra XUV300 petrol-AMT attracts a premium of Rs 55,000 over the corresponding manual variant.

Like the diesel AMT, the petrol AMT also gets additional features over its manual counterpart. It is equipped with hill launch assist and electronic stability control. It also gets creep function which is automatically disabled if any of the doors is open. For added safety, it also gets Drive and Reverse lockout which restricts sudden shifts between reverse and drive modes.

Other features on offer on the petrol AMT remain similar to its manual counterparts. It gets up to 7 airbags, dual-zone AC, push-button start, auto headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood, the XUV300 petrol AMT gets the 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that makes 110PS of power and 200Nm of peak torque.

With the launch of the petrol AMT, Mahindra has also introduced connected features on the W8(O) AMT for both petrol and diesel variants. Mahindra’s BlueSense Plus connected car technology offers 40 connected car features. Mahindra has also updated the W6 and W8 variants with a sunroof, a feature which was earlier limited to the W8(O) variant only.

Along with these introductions, the XUV300 range also gets new exterior colours. The W8(O) AMT variant is now available with Dual-tone Red and Dual-tone Aquamarine colours while an all-new Galaxy Grey is introduced on W6, W8 & W8(O) manual variants.

Bookings for the XUV300 petrol AMT are already underway and deliveries are scheduled to begin from mid-February. It will take on likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Nissan Magnite and the upcoming Renault Kiger.
