Mahindra XUV400 Set To Receive More Features | V3Cars

Since it’s launch, the Mahindra XUV400 hasn’t been able to break the Nexon EV’s hold over the electric SUV segment. Mahindra are now all set to update the XUV400 EV with more features, both functional and safety related,  to make it more enticing. Check out what’s in store for the XUV400 here.

Mahindra XUV400 Set To Get More Features

As per the leaked document, Mahindra XUV400 will soon get safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist (HSA), front fog lights and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It is also set to receive a couple of functional features like auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, two tweeters and a boot lamp. It is worth mentioning that the aforementioned features will be exclusive to the EL variant.

Currently, the Mahindra XUV400 EL offers the following set of features:

  • 6 airbags
  • 16-inch alloy wheels
  • Leatherette seats
  • All 4 disc brakes
  • Telematics
  • Regenerative braking
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Reverse parking camera
  • Electric sunroof

Mahindra XUV400 Powertrain Details

Mahindra offer the XUV400 with 2 battery pack options — 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh. The larger 39.4kWh battery pack offers an MIDC-claimed range of 456km on a single charge and supports both 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC charging. The XUV400 comes with a front-mounted electric motor that produces 150PS of power and 310Nm of torque.

Updated Mahindra XUV400 Launch Likely Soon

As per the document, Mahindra are likely to launch the updated XUV400 soon. This update is unlikely to result in a major price hike since these features should have been offered with the XUV400 from the launch day itself. With these feature additions, Mahindra hopes the XUV400 will have a stronger chance against its arch rivals — the Tata Nexon EV Max and MG ZS EV.
