In this March 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all A-segment hatchbacks in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all A-segment hatchbacks for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
A-Segment Hatchback March 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- Among mass volume cars from the A-segment hatchback category, the Alto K10 and Alto 800 were the only gainers, with a 20% YoY growth in March
- The S-Presso saw the biggest YoY change in March 2023, with a decline of 69% in March 2023 over March 2022
- Renault Kwid also saw a 48% decline in dispatch figures over that of March 2022

A-Segment Hatchback March 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- The Alto pair was the biggest MoM loser in the A-segment in March 2023, with a decline of over 49% over its February sales figures.
- The S-Presso was the next biggest loser in March MoM comparison analysis, with a 35% fall in dispatches
- The Celerio was the sole gainer, with a 4.22% MoM growth
