As we stated earlier, the Dzire CNG comes with a 1.2L normal petrol engine with dual-jet technology. In CNG mode, this engine produces 78PS of power @ 6000rpm and 98.5Nm of torque @ 4300rpm. In petrol mode, the power and torque output increases to 90PS and 113Nm respectively. The Dzire CNG comes with a claimed fuel efficiency of 31.12km/kg, making it not only the most fuel-efficient sedan but also the most-powerful CNG sedan in India.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG comes with two independent ECUs, stainless steel pipes, and retuned suspension. The integrated wire harness reduces the chances of short circuit whereas the microswitch ensures that the engine is shut while refilling CNG. The CNG variants of the Dzire are Rs. 95,000 dearer than the corresponding petrol variants.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire takes on the likes of the Tata Tigor CNG and Hyundai Aura CNG. The recently-launched Tigor CNG comes with a 1.2L petrol engine with 73PS of power and 95Nm of torque. The Hyundai Aura CNG, on the other hand, produces 69PS of power and 95.2Nm of torque from its 1.2L engine. The Tata Tigor CNG range is priced from Rs. 7.70 lakh to Rs. 8.42 lakh ex-showroom. Hyundai offer the Aura CNG in the S variant, which is priced at Rs. 7.74 lakh ex-showroom.
