Maruti Suzuki’s B2-SUV, the Fronx, has hit a major production milestone, with a cumulative total of 5 lakh units manufactured in just 28 months since its launch. This achievement highlights the Fronx’s popularity and its role in strengthening Maruti Suzuki's SUV lineup.

Maruti Fronx Achieves 5 lakh Production Milestone In 28 Months

Launched at the Auto Expo 2023, the Fronx quickly captured the attention of customers with its distinctive design, strong performance, and feature-rich package. It became one of the fastest-selling compact SUVs in the country, reaching its first 1 lakh sales milestone within just 10 months and following up with the 2 lakh and 3 lakh marks in record time. The SUV’s highest monthly sales, exceeding 21,400 units, were recorded in February 2025.

The Fronx’s success isn't limited to the domestic market, as the SUV has also made its mark on the global stage. It earned the distinction of being the first ‘Made in India” SUV from Maruti Suzuki to be exported to Japan. This helped the Fronx become the highest-exported passenger vehicle in India for the fiscal year 2024-25, with 1 in every 5 units produced being shipped to international markets. The Fronx is now a popular model in several regions, including Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
