With Toyota confirming the launch of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG, Maruti Suzuki are likely to announce the Grand Vitara CNG soon. The Grand Vitara CNG will be the 3rd CNG offering from Maruti Nexa.

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is one of the latest SUV in the C-segment space, along with its Toyota cousin, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Like the Toyota SUV, the Grand Vitara is likely to get a CNG powertrain soon. The Grand Vitara CNG will share its powertrain with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG. The same powertrain also powers the Maruti Nexa XL6 CNG. Take a look at the expected power and torque figures of the Grand Vitara CNG.

We expect the 1.5L petrol-CNG engine of the Grand Vitara CNG to offer 87.83PS of power @ 5500rpm and 121.5Nm of torque at 4200rpm. The fuel efficiency of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG is 26.10kmpkg and as it shares its platform and engine with the Grand Vitara, we expect the latter to also offer a similar fuel efficiency.

The Zeta variant of the Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara CNG is likely to features like LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, 6 airbags, reverse parking camera, ambient lighting, Arkamys sound system, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Maruti Nexa could charge a premium of Rs. 95,000 for the CNG variants over the corresponding Delta and Zeta petrol variants.
The Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara CNG variants will not only take on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG but also diesel variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, among others.
