When launched initially, the Brezza’s 1.5L normal petrol engine was equipped with mild hybrid in all variants (except CNG) regardless of the type of transmission. However, in July 2023, Maruti Suzuki silently removed the mild hybrid from the manual variants of the Brezza as a cost saving measure. This resulted in a drop of 2.77kmpl.
