The 7.0-inch Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment system in the Ertiga now offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Pro system is available with ZXI+ variant whereas the ZXI variant gets a similar system, albeit with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, the Ertiga now also offers turn-by-turn navigation on its multi-information display. Existing owners of the Ertiga can update their infotainment system with a software update, which will enable wireless connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation features.

Arkamys Sound System

Maruti Suzuki have also updated the Ertiga with a better sound system. The ZXI+ variant of the Ertiga now offers Arkamys surround sound system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. The ZXI variant, on the other hand, gets unbranded audio with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.

How To Install The OTA Update?

Maruti Suzuki offer 2 options to enable the new features in your Ertiga. The first option lets you use your smartphone and install the OTA update via the SmartPlay Pro Sync app. The second option involves downloading the update from Maruti Suzuki’s website and installing it in the infotainment system. Maruti Suzuki recently increased the prices of the Ertiga range by up to Rs. 14,000 as part of an annual price revision. It is worth mentioning that Maruti Suzuki don’t charge a premium for the updated connectivity features and new sound system.
