Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Grand Vitara with a starting price of Rs. 10.45 lakh. Maruti offer the Grand Vitara with mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid powertrain options. In this article, we share the warranty details for both the powertrains of the new Grand Vitara SUV.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara shares its powetrians with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Toyota revealed the warranty details of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder around the launch itself whereas there is still a lot of confusion about the Grand Vitara.
Have a look at the warranty details of both the Grand Vitara mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid:
Maruti Suzuki offer a standard vehicle warranty of 2 year/40,000 km for the mild-hybrid variants and 5 year/1 lakh km for the strong-hybrid variants. It is worth mentioning that owners can also extend the warranty with various extended warranty packages by paying an upfront premium.

The mild-hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara offer a 5 year/1 lakh km warranty for both the small battery pack and ISG (Integrated Starter Generator). The strong hybrid variants, on the other hand, offer an 8 year/1.6 lakh km but it is only applicable on the battery whereas the motors fall under the standard warranty package of 5 year/ 1 lakh km.

The 1.5L normal petrol engine of the Grand Vitara produces 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque at 4400rpm. Transmission options for the mild hybrid petrol engine include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It is also available with the option of 4-wheel-drive paired with the 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.5L strong hybrid engine, on the other hand, produces 116PS of power and 122Nm of torque between 4400rpm and 4800rpm. It is offered with an eCVT automatic transmission.
