Maruti Victoris Secures 5-Star Safety Rating In Global NCAP Crash Test | V3Cars
The newly-launched Maruti Victoris C-SUV has scored an impressive 5-star safety rating in the latest Global NCAP crash tests, conducted under the organisation’s updated ‘Safer Cars for India’ protocols.

Global NCAP Test Results For Maruti Victoris
According to the official test report, the Victoris achieved:
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP): 33.72 / 34
- Child Occupant Protection (COP): 41 / 49
These strong scores put the Victoris among the highest-rated SUVs sold in India and tested by Global NCAP, underlining Maruti Suzuki’s renewed focus on safety.
Richard Woods, CEO of Global NCAP, said:
The 5-star Victoris clearly demonstrates Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to improved safety for its new models. It continues the trend set by the Dzire launched last year, which also achieved 5 stars.
Maruti Victoris Crash Test Performance Details
- In the frontal offset impact test, protection for the driver’s chest and right leg was rated as adequate, while all other body regions recorded good protection. The front passenger showed good protection across all critical areas.
- In the side impact test (movable deformable barrier), the Victoris scored well, with the driver’s chest rated adequate and the rest good.
- In the more stringent side pole impact test, the SUV was able to provide good protection overall.
For child occupants, Global NCAP noted that the Victoris’ ISOFIX anchors and CRS (Child Restraint System) performance offered excellent security. Both the 18-month and 3-year-old child dummies received near full protection in frontal and side impact evaluations.
The SUV’s bodyshell and footwell area were rated stable and deemed capable of withstanding further loadings. Earlier, the SUV achieved a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP test as well:
