In the frontal impact test, the Wagon-R offered adequate and good protection to the driver and co-driver’s head, respectively. The protection provided to the driver and co-driver’s chest was found weak and adequate. Furthermore, driver and co-driver’s knees received marginal protection with a possible impact with dangerous structures behind the fascia.

In the side impact crash test, the Wagon-R offered good protection to the head, abdomen and pelvis region whereas protection for the chest was found marginal. Since the Wagon-R doesn’t offer side airbags, Global NCAP did not perform the side pole impact test.
