The 7.0-inch Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment system in the XL6 now offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Smartplay Pro system is available in the Alpha and Alpha Plus variants of the XL6 whereas the Zeta variant gets a similar system, albeit with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, the XL6 now also offers turn-by-turn navigation on its multi-information display. Existing owners of the XL6 can update their infotainment system with a software update, which will enable wireless connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation features.

Arkamys Sound System

Maruti Suzuki have also updated the XL6 with a better sound system. The Alpha and Alpha Plus variants of the XL6 now offer Arkamys surround sound system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. The base Zeta variant gets unbranded audio with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.

How To Install The OTA Update?

Maruti Suzuki offer 2 options to enable the new features in your XL6. The first option lets you use your smartphone and install the OTA update via the SmartPlay Pro Sync app. The second option involves downloading the update from Maruti Suzuki’s website and installing it in the infotainment system. Maruti Suzuki recently increased the prices of the XL6 by up to Rs. 12,000 as part of an annual price revision. It is worth mentioning that Maruti Suzuki don’t charge a premium for the updated connectivity features and new sound system.
